What if I told you that I know exactly how you are feeling right now? You're working hard as either a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant and you LOVE what you do but you are feeling frustrated.
You need a new challenge and you know that sticking it out where you are or moving to a new company still won't address the desire for something different.
You've heard about Freelance PAs, VAs / Virtual Assistants and you want to find out more about it.
In 2007, I stumbled across the idea of becoming a VA but the timing wasn't right and the confidence certainly wasn't there. Fast forward to 2015 and I was ready to make the leap, I had corporate and SME experience and I loved the variety of the role but it was no longer fulfilling me in the way it once did. There was something missing.
In 2015, I did the research and my mind was made up, I was going to make it a reality!!
I gave my three months notice at the end of the first week of January and then a week later, I found out I was pregnant! Amazing news but it meant the plan would have to go on hold.
I continued to research and make plans in the middle of the night, usually whilst trying to get my son to settle or whilst he was sleeping in the baby carrier but in June 2017, I unofficially soft-launched my business and my son was 8-months-old.
I'm not going to lie, it's not easy, or at least it isn't unless you know lots of people who own their own businesses and will need your services.
When I launched, I was starting from scratch and it took a lot of hard work! I have a methodical mindset, which is why I opted for a soft-launch, I needed to decide whether this was right for me because it isn't right for everyone.
Here we are, it's 2020 and I have a team of freelancers who support my clients with a number of different services.
I made my dream a reality and you can too! I will share with you the good, the bad and the ugly.
I am a stronger believer in working with people who you feel you have a rapport with. It might be because you have shared values, experiences or personality traits, so watch this to find out a little bit about me.
By the way, I hate being on video!
To do this properly, I really need to understand what makes you 'tick'.
What do you enjoy, how do you like to work, what frustrates you, what experience do you have?
Quite simply, why do you want to become a Virtual Assistant? Why do you think it is 'right' for you?
This can often feel stressful but it's best to identify it early on.
This is about exploring and digging into the detail of your background. How does it fit in with who you want to attract as your ideal client.
Everything you need to think about in terms of financials, legalities, social platforms and creating a website.
Creating a brand isn't just about a logo and pretty colours, it's thinking about your tone of voice, messaging and how you want to be perceived.
In week 3, we talked about your ideal client but now it's time to address how you can help them.
This is often one of the most talked about topics! Together we will discuss what would work best for you.
Have a plan, establish what you want to achieve and by when!
Where do your ideal clients hang out, how are you going to find them and what will you say to them?
By week 10, you're probably starting to question yourself, 'can I do this?", "I'm not good enough", "the market is saturated", we will address any concerns you have.
What tools should you try, what will help you with your own time management and what will make your clients life easier.
This is about understanding how to get noticed, to build a reputation as the person people want to work with.
I believe in YOU! Now it's time to believe in yourself.
12 x 60-90 minute sessions to focus you and to set actions.
I don't take a one-size-fits-all approach, each session will be tailored to you. If you would rather we went through the programme in a different order, we can.
We will have weekly calls via Zoom but I know not everyone feels comfortable on camera and if that's the case, we can do it by audio.
Although the course is aimed at Personal Assistants and Executive Assistants, the content can be applied to anyone. I understand how daunting it can feel when you are looking to make the leap and I have had roles in HR, Recruitment, Operations, Change Management... so I get it.
When it comes to choosing a mentor, it is important to find one you connect with for the right reasons. Book a call with me to find out if my support is the right option for you.
I appreciate you might not need to cover everything, you might only require support with certain aspects.
If you want to pick and choose, individually, each module costs £150.00.

"An outstanding VA, business advisor & mentor! I met Louisa through LinkedIn earlier this year when I was trying to establish myself as a Virtual Assistant. I was nervous and entering unknown territory but Louisa was amazing. She has taught me so much already - not only technical know how, but also behaviour and mindset. She isn’t afraid to get stuck into anything that comes her way, has very high standards and is excellent dealing with clients. She has a tremendous ability to see the big picture and long-term goals, but also understands the smaller pieces and finer details along the way. She manages to perfectly combine a friendly, engaging style whilst being direct and no-nonsense! The honesty is welcomed and refreshing."
