LinkedIn, Louisa's favourite platform!

Louisa first created her LinkedIn profile on the 24th November, 2007.  Initially , it was created as a way of keeping in touch with colleagues and she rarely did anything with her account.

Overtime, that changed and she started to embrace the platform.  Around 2010, she started to view it as an online CV board and a place to find jobs but in 2011, her view changed and she started to realise it was a way of keeping in touch with all connections made, not 'just' colleagues.

As part of her Executive Assistant role, Louisa was also responsible for managing the HR and recruitment for an SME business.   As part of that position, she used the platform to headhunt potential employees, as well as posting jobs.

Her view of LinkedIn changed again, when she made the move to become self employed.  Suddenly, she realised she needed to maximise the potential of the platform but it wasn't until 2018, when she 'really' embraced the platform.  The timing was perfect too because it no longer felt stuffy and instead, it became more of a social business platform, rather than the corporate feel, it once had.

Why is it Louisa's favourite platform?

Initially, Louisa was still apprehensive about the platform because there was so much contradictory advice about what you should and shouldn't do.  It felt as though everyone was an expert but no matter what Louisa did, she wasn't getting the results she needed.

Recognising that something needed to change, she started to show more of her personality and she tried lots of different tactics from posts at different times of the day, to how to structure content and what to post.

Suddenly, it all fell into place and Louisa started to notice a difference in terms of views, engagement, connection requests, people wanting to work with her and private messages.  It suddenly clicked, her testing of the platform was having positive results and it was a lot of fun!

Are you feeling stuck in a rut with LinkedIn?

That's exactly how Louisa felt when she started to use the platform as a VA, lost and unsure but through what she has learnt, she can help you to start to embrace the platform.

I spent a couple of hours with Louisa going through content planning for my social media and specifically how to leverage LinkedIn to encourage more genuine connections.

Louisa took the time to thoroughly review each section of my Linkedin profile and give me actions to put in place over the coming months to allow me to grow my network and provide more value to my connections.

I would definitely recommend having a chat with Louisa if you are looking at LinkedIn as a platform to gain more business.

If you're struggling for content, or you have the content, but your social media isn't quite working out the way you planned, then I can highly recommend Louisa.

Louisa reviewed my LinkedIn, Twitter and website content, and provided me with an honest critique for each one. she was extremely professional, detailed and all points were very clearly explained.

By the end of the session, I had a clear plan of what I needed to do to both improve, and to get more engagement for each platform.

Thanks Louisa.

I had a LinkedIn training session hosted by Louisa which I found extremely useful.

She offered tips on how to improve my profile as well as advice on post content, when the best time to post is and suggestions on the text layout. I took lots of notes so will implement them & am confident it will help no end.

I highly recommend Louisa to anyone wanting advice/tips on improving their LinkedIn profile.

Thanks Louisa!

Louisa answered my plea for a tutorial on how to use LinkedIn that I posted in my networking group - CWS Creatives.

We had an hour long video call where she knowledgeably talked me through everything I needed to know.

She was so patient and easy to chat to and I came away feeling like I had lots of useful info to put into practice.
